Introduction to the new legislation

In a move to improve the “fairness” of the UK tax system the government has bought out a new piece of legislation to prevent employers from disguising their employees as self-employed.

It would be that employers would say their employees were self-employed so that they could avoid paying employers NI and other costs and benefits that are associated with the employment rights of workers in the UK. For more guidelines find out what is ir35.

As of April 2015, all intermediaries and recruitment agencies will need to inform HMRC of all self-employed workers’ gross payments.

“For me, Futurelink Group was the best solution, as a foreign and a lack of knowledge of the UK rules, they were extremely helpful in all aspects. Always fast in answering all my questions. I almost didn’t do anything and they put me on track to invoice and receive my payments. I can fully recommend them.”
